How long are the sessions?
-Salt therapy sessions are 45 minutes long.
-Ampcoil sessions vary, you can choose to book for 30 or 60 minutes.
-Sauna sessions are 40 minutes long. (You will have a few minutes before and after to change, etc.)

Are your services covered by insurance, HSA or FSA?
-Our services are not covered by insurance at this time but you can pay for salt therapy sessions with Health Savings Accounts & Flex Spending Accounts. Sauna sessions are sometimes covered by these as well.

Do you need an appointment?
-Yes, we are an appointment based business. We will try to accommodate people on a walk-in basis if we are able to but we can never guarantee that. However, we can usually accommodate same day appointments.

What times are appointments available?
-Our adult relaxation room appointments begin at 30 minutes after the hour. (10:30, 11:30, etc.)
-This is the same for the infrared sauna & Ampcoil appointments.
-Our children & family room appointments begin at 15 minutes after the hour. (11:15, 12:15, etc.)
**Be sure to arrive 10 minutes early for your first appointment to allow yourself time to fill out paperwork, use the restroom, get a locker, etc. If you arrive late you will need to reschedule for another time slot.

Are you in the room by yourself? If I come with someone will we be together?
-Yes, if you come with someone else you will be in the session together. We can fit up to 5 people in each salt therapy session. Sometimes people do have the room to themselves if they are the only person booked for that session. However, we can't guarantee this as someone may book that session time at the last minute.
-This is also why it's very important to arrive on time. We can't wait for people who arrive late as it would hold up others for their scheduled appointment time.

What should I wear?
-You can wear whatever is comfortable for you, most people come as they are. We wouldn't suggest wearing anything too dressy as you will get salt particles on your clothing. The salt particles will show up more on darker colors than lighter colors. It does not hurt your clothing at all, this is just something to be aware of if you are going out somewhere after your session.
-If you are doing salt therapy to help with a skin condition you may choose to wear shorts or a tank top to have more skin exposed.
-We provide foot covers that must be worn during your session. Children need to wear clean white socks during their session. If children arrive without socks we have them available for purchase.
**-Most importantly, do not wear any perfumes, colognes, hairspray, scented lotion, etc. If you arrive wearing products with fragrances you will need to reschedule your appointment.

What do you do during a session?
-Salt therapy sessions are a great time to relax. Some people like to take a nap or meditate during their session. Some people prefer to read a book or magazine or play on their phone. (Phones must be in a protective case or plastic bag. We will provide these for you.)
-There are books and toys for children to quietly play with during their session. Some parents choose to let their children watch a video on a phone or tablet during their session.

Will I feel a difference from one session?
-You might, some people notice an improvement in how they feel after only one session. This will depend on each person and their particular symptoms. To really get a detox of the respiratory system and get the best results, it is recommended to have at least 3 sessions within a couple of weeks or less.
-Some notice clearer breathing or better sleep after a session. Some experience a runny nose or drainage during their session due to congestion loosening up.

How often do you need to come for salt therapy sessions?
-When you get started with salt therapy it is recommended to have 3-5 sessions within a week or two to get a good detox of the respiratory system. After that you can come as often as you need for maintenance. This will vary depending on your condition and symptoms. We can help give you a better idea of how often when we know more about your specific symptoms.
-We have unlimited flat rate memberships for people with chronic conditions such as asthma or COPD that want to come often.
-It is best to use salt therapy as a continuous preventative measure.

Is salt therapy safe for children?
-Yes. Salt therapy is good for people of any age, even as young as one month old.

Is salt therapy safe during pregnancy?
-Yes, salt therapy is a great option for women during pregnancy because it is completely natural and drug-free.

Do I need to worry about germs? How are the salt rooms sanitized?
-Salt is naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial. The salt rooms are covered in salt particles, so germs can't survive in them. We also use a UV light to sanitize the room after every session as an added precaution. The germicidal ultraviolet rays from this light are lethal to bacteria, virus, and other microorganisms.

Is salt therapy something you only do when you are sick or have symptoms?
-No. This is one of the most common misconceptions about salt therapy. Salt therapy is highly effective at preventing illnesses when done on a regular basis. Salt therapy keeps mucus from building up and leading to infections such as sinus infections, ear infections, etc. Think of it as hygiene for your respiratory system.

Will salt therapy help me if I'm already sick?
-Yes, but if you wait to come until you are already sick you will most likely need more sessions and you will need to do them more frequently.

**-Please do not bring in children who are very sick as they are usually not able to sit through a session.
-Salt therapy is not a replacement for a doctor.
-It is best to use salt therapy as a continuous preventative measure.
-If your child is sick and has raw or chapped skin on their face due to blowing or wiping their nose a lot the session will be very uncomfortable for them due to irritation from the salt. Please wait until this has healed to bring them for salt therapy.

What is your cancellation policy?*
-Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to ensure a full session. Salt therapy sessions are shared with others so if you arrive late you will not be able to join the session and are subject to our cancellation policy.

You may cancel your appointment without charge up to the end of business hours on the business day before your appointment. Same day cancellations will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price. If you fail to call us to cancel your appointment and do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be charged at regular price for the missed appointment. If you have a prepaid session package, one session will be considered used for the missed appointment. Cancellations are not accepted by email. *This includes members.

Do I get the same benefits from having salt lamps at home?
-No, they are not the same. To put it simply, salt lamps clean the air and salt therapy cleans your respiratory system (nose, lungs, airways, sinuses, etc.)
-Salt lamps work like slow, natural air purifiers. They attract and absorb the water molecules in the air and trap in whatever the water molecule was carrying, such as dander, dust, pollen, etc. When the lamp is warm, the water molecules evaporate back into the air but the other particles stay trapped in the salt.
-Salt therapy uses the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of salt to detox the respiratory system. The tiny particles are able to penetrate deep into the lungs. Salt therapy clears away mucus, kills harmful bacteria in the respiratory system, and reduces tissue irritation.
